What is Coaching?
A professional, collaborative, and equal partnership that uses evidence based practices.
A much needed holistic & client-centered support service.
Ethical Coaching centers on collectivity, sustainable living, accessibility, radical boundaries, rest, and self-acceptance while challenging the oppression of commodified wellness.
Coaching operates in a proactive, non-clinical, goal-driven, and future-oriented way.
Trained Coaches structure conversations to maximize learning, development, and growth while holding vision, respecting client autonomy, anchoring resilience, and staying on track.
ADHD Coaching includes psychoeducation, symptom management, and skill building for improved brain function.
Coaching is a key component of the gold standard multimodal ADHD treatment, which includes medication, therapy, and behavioral support.
Coaching is a necessary container for behavior transformation. Individuals are held accountable for formulating, applying, and refining their desired outcomes.
Coaching is not...
Therapy nor is it a replacement for therapy. Individuals must have a foundation of wellness for coaching to be effective.
Coaching is not the same as addiction recovery sponsorship. Certified Peer Recovery Specialists are trained & credentialed professionals that use Motivational Interviewing to coach and provide autonomous support to people in active recovery.
Coaching is not for processing trauma, deep-seated emotional dysregulation, or focusing on the past.
A quick fix. On average, a behavior becomes a habit after 10 weeks of consistent effort (although sometimes it can take longer).
Being told what to do. In contrast to services where the credentialed professional holds more influence than the client, coaching is an equitable, collaborative partnership free from a power differential. While potentially confusing at first, this dynamic is invaluable for creating trust and self-efficacy.
Coaching is for you if you are...
Not sure how to pivot or overcome an obstacle
Noticing a pattern of behavior you would like to change
Curious about creating a wellness habit
In active recovery from addiction/ substance use disorder
Wanting to improve your quality of life by raising your baseline of well-being
Wanting to improve your confidence and self-compassion
Curious about discovering and leveraging your personal strengths in everyday life
Wanting to create and practice a boundary
Looking for accountability
Seeing a therapist and are ready to take action to move forward
Looking for support in finding and or maintaining care from multiple providers
What does this process look like?
Membership = Coaching + SKC Offerings
I'm an ADHD life coach who focuses on bio-chemical stress reduction and
self-compassion.
My clients come from many walks of life and describe themselves as creative, recovery-focused, and/or neuro-spicy (neurodivergent)!
I'm intensely curious and present in coaching partnerships which makes discovery and the challenge of behavior change more fun.
My commitment to listening, adapting, and applying client feedback improves
impact while taking coaching further faster.
